For 2012, I'll be joining several exciting reading challenges that will not only help me make a dent in my TBR shelf but will also allow me to discover new blogs and win new friends with a bonus of cool prizes. Isn't that great?
1) So to start off is the 2012 Harry Potter Reading Challenge hosted by The Reading Fever and I’m super-duper excited about this one. It’s a challenge to read all 7 books in my favorite series of all time: Harry Potter.
It’s time to enter once again the magical world of Harry Potter and relived the adventure. For more info click here.
2) Have you ever read a classic novel? Well, I did. Once. And that’s after watching the movie. I know, I know most of us don’t have time to read these great novels. For starters, they’re harder to read and will require complete focus (at least for me). Second, is they give us book-induced nosebleeds. And the list of excuses goes on…Now it’s time to step up and join The Classics Reading Challenge 2012 hosted by Thoughts at One In The Morning. For more info head here.
There are 5 Levels to choose from and I think I’m going for Level Two 4-6 books. Some of the books I might be reading are:
-1984
-How to Kill a Mockingbird
-Atonement
-The Lord of the Flies
3. The next reading challenge is a massive one hosted by 10 bloggers called 2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge.
Basically, you'll read books from your TBR shelf and do a review. This will run for the entire year and at the end of each month, there would be cool giveaways and mini-challenges from the respective hosts.

5) I love contemporary novels so I'm happy to be joining this awesome challenge by Chick Loves Lit called Completely Contemp Challenge.
For this challenge you have to read YA contemporary published during 2010, 2011 and 2012. I'm going for the 5 books per year. I'm still making my reading list so I'll just update this post. For book ideas and more info about Completely Contemp Challenge click here.

And that's it for my first-ever attempt at reading challenges. I do hope I can accomplish all of them! *fingers crossed*
This is great because I'm really trying to get my TBR pile under control. Of course downloading 8 books to my Kindle this week didn't help. ;)
ReplyDeleteI, on the other hand requested about 10 books on Netgalley just this vacation and I still have another 10 to read. What am I getting myself into? Anyway, thanks for visiting, Kelly! It's always nice to see you. :D
